Our Services

Vacating Our Storage Units
Please let our office in El Segundo, California, know when you wish to vacate your unit. At California Storage Masters, account balances must be paid with cash or cashier's check at the end of your rental agreement. You must also sign off on your rental agreement after closing the account and leave your unit empty and clean. A third party cannot terminate your rental agreement or remove items without your written consent.

Unit Pickup and Delivery
Upon delivery of your portable storage unit, there must be parking available for the truck to load and unload the unit, as well as a suitable location for the unit's storage. This is especially important in congested areas around the beach cities. If you live in an apartment, the unit must sit in an area acceptable to your landlord.

Packing Tips
Our portable units store most records, household goods, and equipment or tools. However, some items are not appropriate, or require additional protection. Take care when packing your unit because the goods inside will be transported on our truck and handled by a forklift.

It is your responsibility to pack your unit so the contents won't be damaged during transport and handling. There is a weight limitation of 3,000 pounds per unit, which is sufficient for storage of most items. However, please be aware that papers and records tend to weigh more.

Load large, bulky items like mattresses, refrigerators, and dressers in the unit first. Brace and secure these pieces against each other so they don't shift around, and wrap sofa and chair cushions in sheets or plastic bags for padding. Pack all smaller items in boxes. Remove lamp bulbs and shades before packing, and pad or crate glass items like mirrors and pictures.
